Nicki Gardiner graduated from AFTRS (Australian Film, Television & Radio School) with a BA specialising in Production Design. She has since worked extensively across films and TVC’s as a Production Designer and Set Decorator and is currently the Production Designer for Class of 07 written and directed by Kacie Annin and produced by Matchbox Pictures for Amazon Studios.
Nicki recently wrapped as Production Designer on Bump for John Edwards, Dan Edwards and Claudia Karvan (Rough Diamond Productions for Village Roadshow) and The Other Guy season 2 for Aquarius Films/STAN. Nicki was also the Production Designer on the critically acclaimed John Sheedy directed Feature Film H is for Happiness.
Nicki’s Set Decorating credits include the critically acclaimed feature films Lion directed by Garth Davies and produced by See Saw Films as Set Decorator, 2.22 Directed by Paul Currie as Set Director and Gods of Egypt directed by Alex Proyas as Set Decorator and the yet to be released Hotel Mumbai directed by Anthony Maras as Set Decorator. Her work on Lion has been nominated for the Art Directors Guild – Excellence in production Design Awards for her role as Set Decorator.
Nicki was one of the main Set Decorator’s on the multi-award winning Mad Max Fury Road directed by George Miller and production designed by Colin Gibson. Nicki’s extensive feature film credits range from small to big budget movies including The Railway Man, The Tree, Knowing, Superman, Anacondas, Peter Pan and The Matrix.
