Congratulations to Chris Kennedy, 2015 AACTA Award Nominee for Production Design for his outstanding work on The Water Diviner, Directed by Russell Crowe. Kennedy has been honoured previously by the AFI (now AACTA) and was also the 2005 recipient of the Byron Kennedy Award for Outstanding Creative Enterprise. He is currently in pre production on location in India for the forthcoming feature film, Lion starring Nicole Kidman and Dev Patel (See-Saw Films).

Julia Morris has joined Bonds as lead Ambassador for their new Boobicon campaign, along with a unique group of women in fashion, performance and sport, to collectively celebrate their boobs and encourage Australian women to embrace what they’ve got.
True to her comedic form, Julia has created her own ‘Fun Boobs’ Boobicon and thinks a sense of humour is the best way to deal with some of the surprising and not so surprising changes your boobs go through over time.

Congratulations to Alex Hammond, whose novel Blood Witness has been shortlisted for the 2014 Ned Kelly Award for Best First Crime Novel. The Ned Kelly Awards are Australia’s oldest and most prestigious prizes for crime fiction and true crime writing, and the winners of the 2014 awards will be announced at the Brisbane Writers Festival on Saturday September 6. Blood Witness is also under option with Werner Film and TV Productions.
Screen Australia has just announced development funding for 18 internationally focused feature projects, including Season’s Pass, produced by Matthew Dabner, and Berlin Syndrome and Jasper Jones, both written by Shaun Grant. Our award winning, critically acclaimed writer Shaun Grant is a key writer on the exciting new drama co-produced by Sam Worthington for Foxtel, Deadline Gallipoli. The miniseries, which will be directed by Michael Rymer, stars Rachel Griffiths, Charles Dance and Hugh Dancy and begins shooting in Adelaide this week. Critically acclaimed writer and novelist Alex’s debut novel Blood Witness (Penguin Books Australia) was selected as State Library of Victoria Summer Read 2014 and is under option with Werner Film and TV Productions. His short film Piñata was nominated for an AFI Award and won Best Animation at the Vancouver Animation Festival. Currently writing his second novel, Dark Legacy (currently due for publication in July 2015), Alex is co-writing a project with director Ben Chessell which is also under option with Werner Film and TV Productions.
