Simon is an award winning Cinematographer. His feature film credits include the recently completed Killing Ground (dir; Damien Power),  Joe Cinque’s Consolation (dir: Sotiris Dounoukos), Cut Snake (dir. Tony Ayres), produced by Matchbox Pictures. The Devils Candy, filmed in the USA (writer/dir. Sean Byrne) and Little Death (dir. Josh Lawson) produced by See Pictures and Hopscotch.

Other feature credits include Griff the Invisible (dir. Leon Ford), produced by Jan Chapman, Scott Meek Transmission and Paramount Pictures and the acclaimed The Loved Ones (writer/dir. Sean Byrne), produced by Mark Lazarus and Paramount Pictures Insurge.

His television credits include Glitch (dir. Emma Freeman) and produced by Tony Ayres/Matchbox Pictures, NBC Universal for ABC TV and the award-winning series, Nowhere Boys also produced by Tony Ayres/Matchbox Pictures.  Simon recently completed the documentary Servant or Slave with Director Steven McGregor for No Coincidence Media.

Simon has been awarded the ACS NSW Gold Award in 2012 and a Golden Tripod Award for Katoomba and has also been awarded an ACS NSW Silver Award for Glitch and a Bronze Award for Cut Snake at the 2015 ACS NSW/ACT Awards.

The Devils Candy premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2015 to critical acclaim and was Simon’s second collaboration with award winning director/writer, Sean Byrne.

After completing shooting on The Wrong Girl for Playmaker Media and Network Ten, Simon then shot the long awaited miniseries on the legendary rock group the EasyBeats called, Friday On My Mind for Playmaker Media and ABCTV,  In 2017, Simon secured an AACTA nomination for Best Cinematography for Servant or Slave and has currently finished shooting Harrow for Hoodlum Entertainment (a co-production for ABCTV and Disney owned ABC Studios), a 10 part crime drama.
